It appears if you put in an AD2 plugin you end up with this running the whole time:
 
C:\ProgramData\XLN Audio\XLN Cloud Sync\App\XLN Cloud Sync\prg\XLN Cloud Sync.exe
 
(Check task manager)....
 
Seems unnecessary to me, has anybody found a way to stop this task from running?

If you go to XLN online installer there is a button for xln cloud sync and you can uncheck it and it will uninstall it if you tell it to. I don't know if you can just turn it off and on .

Per XLN Knowledgebase:
"The MyCloud service in Addictive Drums 2 and Addictive Keys stores your presets, AK memos, AD2 recordings and maps in your online account, and syncs them across your computers.".
 
I can confirm it does not launch for AD1. It will launch for AD2 and Addictive Keys whether they are launched within a DAW or as standalone versions. I have not found an option yet to disable this.
 
I do think it is bad as this keeps running if you close the DAW or close AD2 or Addictive Keys standalone.
I would think if you remove the plugin or close AD2, Addictive Keys it would close the process since it should have synced with the Cloud by then...

Thanks... Now my latency is back to normal .
(correction might be back to normal ).

I'm dredging this up from the past as I was pondering why I all of a suddne was always getting a "Cloud Sync" pop up when ever I opened the GUI. I guess I must have clicked "Update all" and got this last go around. Anyhow I did as advised and opened the XLN installer and uninstalled this feature. 
 
I still get the Pop up " Cloud sync Empty" the first time I open the GUI for either AD2 or AD Keys.
