The Cakewalk MackieControl and the moded one are not connecting.

Moded one should be always "connected", even without device. But sure since the mod is several hours old, I could overseen something. Do you see "Disable handshake" option? Have you set it? Also some project should be loaded into Sonar.

Thanks azslow, I found the new version of the MackieContol.dll with the Disable Handshake option.

Copy it to the folder where MackieControl.dll is, so replace default one. ProChannel EQ/Compressed should be correctly mapped then.

It was in my installation... but may be it is from some previous version of Sonar. Without that file everything works, but without reasonable EQ/Comp mapping. You can also manually add other FXes you use (you can modify the file with any text editor).

I finally un-boxed my Motor 49. I'm pretty sure I followed all the instructions here. After several hours, no joy. I've gotten motorized SAC-2k (still works great), BCF-2000, and Yamaha 01v all to work bidirectional in the past.... but this Darn Motor 49 - jest don't happen.
 
It seems some of you have gotten this to work with Azslow's MackieControl.DLL but I can't.
 
Could someone be so kind as to post a step by step instruction set as to how they got it to work? Include file locations, midi ports setup (I assume it's the Motor 49 USB or MIDI). I would love to share your joy. Happy New Year to all.

i just bought a motor61, and my hope was that i could use it with sonar. i have also tried to follow the directions here, and i have also ended up with no joy. meanwhile i downloaded demo copies of reaper and tracktion, and both of these programs work flawlessly with motor61 in mackiecontrol mode. it makes me sad that my favorite daw can't seem to get this one simple thing right. oh well - moving on.
