Hello,
During recording from my Nord Stage EX to my Sonar 7 Cakewalk programm, I hear an irritating noise when I higher the master volume. Can somebody help me what the reason is. Maybe there it is my laptop of my Focusrite USB 2.0 sounddriver?
Hopefully you can help me.
Thanks in advance....

Is it a continuous noise or does it fluctuate slightly and have a slightly digital edge to the sound?

I'd also check the cables (since Nord Stage has only unbalanced OUT) and whether it's happening on all 4 Nord outputs ...

BTW ... this should probably be moved to the hardware forum ... don't think it's a sonar issue

Try a different cable between the synth and the interface. If the Focusrite has a ground lift switch you could try that as well.

Thank you all for the information. I will try the options you have given to me.
Maybe that will give me the right solution.

Guessing could be more precise if you can publish the recording with this noise.
People here know many kinds of noise. Broken cable, clipping, audio ground loop, USB ground loop, interferences, etc. Post an example and someone give you definitive answer from where it comes in your particular case.

You did not say which Focusrite interface you are using. If it is the Solo,2i2 or 2i4  which use buss power then it can be the USB power and a ground loop. This is common with those interface ( and why I don't like them)  but can be solved by using a USB cable with a ferite choke.

Sounds to me like USB bus noise, I would do as Johnny V suggests I would also try a different USB port.

It would be extremely helpful in troubleshooting if you could post the noise.
