Hi! I'm working on a small project and after exporting it I noticed the piano from Rapture Session had low volume on the mix.
I had some reading on the forum and on Cakewalk site as well (about dithering and rendering bit depth) and I made some tests with the piano track only. I decided to unsolo it before bouncing to track which gave me better results, but still there's loss of volume during the operation.
Is there something else I could do or maybe I'm missing something?
Thanks in advance!

Best regards,

Is the piano routed to your master buss, along with all your other tracks?

Bristol Jonesey, yes. Also it's routed to a 'piano bus' I created.

My fear is that other instruments and audio tracks may be be losing volume too, and the piano is the first I've noticed.

Check that you master buss and your main outs are at 0dB

If they are and everything is routed properly you should not get a volume decrease

Any Fx in the master buss?

Hi, Jonesey!

I checked my project and the master bus is at -6dB, and I also inserted a VST reverb and a FX Chain from Cakewalk's mastering presets on it.

However your post made me check in the console view and I believe I created bus sends [for virtual instruments] but didn't pay attention on what I was doing: the buses out were addressed to 'surround main' (don't know exactly what it is!).
I readdressed them to master bus and now piano sounds lower, but at least it seems to be what was really going on.

Thanks for the help!
