I have Sonar Platinum on a PC with Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 USB sound device.  I've have recently been trying to get Kontact 5 to work with Cakewalk.  I searched some helpful internet sites and a part of the process involves "the browser" where my plug-ins are supposed to be.  They all act like when you launch Sonar the browser with a "synth" button and other buttons will be staring you in the face - mine isn't.  I loaded a midi song thinking that the browser may only be visible when something is loaded.  Nope.  Can anyone tell me where my browser is hiding?  Please?

If you have the time, just write a brief explanation of how you sorted it out. I'm sure it will help others in the same position. Then go back to your first post, select edit using the ^ symbol in the bottom right corner of the post and edit the title of your thread adding the words (SOLVED). All the best.

Since I am having an issue with drivers right now and had been when I was Looking for the browser loading or creating a new project was giving me driver errors.  I needed to access the browser to establish a new midi source since opening or creating a new project was giving me errors that forced me to shut down Sonar.  Unfortunately, without an open project, few features including the browser are available.
