Just to clarify the above; the only drop outs I have had in the past few years are always associated with adjusting interface buffers at the interface. This is expected, since SONAR is locked to it; so when it changes, the audio engine disengages. It is simple to re-engage the audio engine. The hurdle of recording a new track (such as a final lead vox track) in a complex project was really the point, not that I suffer drop outs personally.

My membership expired in 3/2016, and the final Manchester build (1/2016) is the Platinum version I run.

That is pretty much the only dropouts I get myself as well, but even they can and should be eliminated, you change your buffers in other DAWs without the Audio Engine dropping out, Studio One, REAPER etc all can achieve this. Having said that, as you mentioned earlier, there has been a lot of cases recently with peeps reporting dropout issues, and if it is only happening in SONAR and not other audio programs, well maybe there is something up in Texas (or Boston) even if it is just how SONAR handles things in these folks particular system environment, especially if it is only occurring with SONAR.

All of today's software seems amazingly well priced to me... I still remember how excited I was to be able to buy a Mackie 24x8 bus mixer and a single Tascam DA88... I could record 8 tracks at once for only a little over $10,000 !!! Ha Ha ;-)
