In Native Instrument's FM8's modulation matrix, if I play a sound and move the modulation wheel up on my A-800 Pro, an connection is made in the matrix between the LFO->Aftertouch column and operator F. The number in the matrix will start from -99, move all the way up to +99 when I move the wheel, and bounce back to -99 when I release it. It always happens to operator F, no matter if I have it turned off or on or whether or not it's routed to anything.

I have no idea why this connection is being made. And as far as I know, you shouldn't be able to change values in the modulation matrix by moving a controller. The values there should be static, in that they represent the extent to which a modulation source affects an operator.

Here is the connection that is made:

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Weird. So I went into the MIDI controller assignments and there was nothing there pertaining to CC1. There were just the 6 default assignments that are there when you open FM8 fresh. but I deleted the ones it would let me delete, and hey presto the mod wheel is not registering on the matrix as described above any more. Can't understand what happened since none of these assignments were the mod wheel, but deleting them anyway made the problem go away. Ah well....

Sharke A while ago when I was a rep for the Roland V Studio 700 system they gave me a Roland PCR800 keyboard to use as well. I experienced some strange behaviour at times. I found that doing a complete reset on the controller itself (consult instructions for this) eliminated a few issues immediately.
