Hi.
I have not used Melodyne so far.
Before I purchase the software I would like to know if melodyne are capable of analyzing a full audio track?
Meaning, not just a recorded audio track containing only one instrument, but rather a full audio track (mp3 ect...) melody containing drums, vocals, guitars ect..? Thanks

If you mean analyze so that it can separate all of that into separate notes and parts, no. No software can do this. But small timing corrections in the entire track are possible in many cases and transposing or tuning the complete track a little can also be done.

If you are referring to "Demixing" using a polyphonic track It can be a serious task but its sometimes possible.

I will agree with others though, its almost impossible to do a fully complete mix this way. but there is quite a bit that can be done.
Including fixing some vocal mistakes, Extracting guitar solos, exc. my suggestion before making a purchases is watch some of the videos from Celemony.

I use Melodyne 2 Editor for this in polyphonic mode as its primary use. No editting or bounces to MIDI, but it will do edits within limitations and tempo extraction. Basically a PRV view of the song - key, tempo, notes (including harmonics), etc.

Melodyne 2 will process a normal song in about 10 seconds on my machine. Melodyne 4 took a minute, so I never upgraded.
