@chukebaby
We record - for example - 25 tapes in SONAR in one project and have to cut each tape in several clips:
Then we name each clip in SONAR:
Tape 1: 001_001 ... 001_063 Tape 2: 002_001 ... 002_057
Then we mark ALL clips and export them by source category "clips". Then SONAR exports all files with the name of the clip. This is very great. You don't have to rename the files.
Therefore we use PhraseExpress that simulates keystrokes and mousemovements. But with the capacity of counting variables, inputfields and so on. It also can take values from an table of Excel.
http://www.phraseexpress.com/ Till today I only had a script, where I had to click on each clip - press F12 - , and PhraseExpress writes automatically the value in the inspector. Thousend clips = 1000 times "F12".

Thank you this justed worked. Now I have made a script that selects automatically one clip after each other and gives them a name. The clip is selectet, the mouse moves to the textfield in the inspector and writes the value, then it jumps to the next clip ... and so on.
It's not completely done yet, but it selects already each clip after each other.
