Hello,

Working with ASIO4all and it is good for midi recording but, when I want to record an audio track I have to switch to MME
I's like to use one driver for both. If I try to load Wasapi it doesn't sound, the meters move but no audio.

Suggestions?

Thanks

Did you try closing and re-opening Sonar AFTER you switch to wasapi?

Yes and I still get the notice that drivers are not supported or are missing.
See the meters move, but no sound.

What is your audio bit depth set to? (preferences/driver settings/audio driver bit depth). Try setting it to 16 if it is not there already.

In Platinum, what happens if you choose ' wasapi exclusive' mode? On one of my devices, once exclusive mode was introduced wasapi shared mode no longer worked. It scanned as not available just as you describe.

Has wasapi mode ever worked on your system? Are you running windows 10 or windows 7?

I'm guessing your interface doesn't offer an ASIO driver? That would be a good choice, if you haven't checked that possibility out yet. If that's not an option, ASIO4All is a wrapper for WDM/KS, and because it works with your interface it's probable that WDM/KS will too, with far better performance then MME. Give that a try.

Thanks all,
I can use ASIO4all for midi, but it doesn't work for audio.
MME works for audio but too much latency for midi.
I'm running windows 10 on a brand new Dell 7000.
Thanks again,
Marsi

Asio4ALL should work for audio no problem. I've used it in the past with a crap interface that had no drivers
