I just finished installing the update and
WOW did U ever speed up the load time. Haven't had time to test out other stuff but had to make a comment on the improvement to the load time.
Yes!Slow load times have been a problem with hurry up and wait crowd.
I have a Win 10 x64 Pro System lastest auto-update, with an Intel i7 Core 6700K 4.0 chip & 64Gb RAM, Heatpipe cooler with 2x120mm fans, PS- 750 watt Quiet Gold Modular, 4Gb Video with dual monitors, on a ASUS Hero VIII - MB. With a total of 9 controlled fans on the case system runs cool & quiet. Rack mount: Audio - Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 (with dual headphones and 10 monitors, 5.1 capable) & Regular MIDI - MOTU midi express 128. System includes: 12 MIDI input controllers (8 USB): 2 -16 touch pads, Maschine Mikro, a 37 note wireless keytar, a Roland Synth, to a full 88 note hammer weighted USB keyboard. 6 Mic's.
System: 28 track stereo simultaneous record: Audio - 8 Mono~16 stereo + MIDI controllers - 12 wav/12 MIDI stereo software driven instruments, with 4 more MIDI controllers will have 16 channel MIDI bringing recordable tracks up to 32. [using one controller to run more than one instrument at a time I have had 96 stereo tracks (combined audio & MIDI) recording at once without any problems]
Even with this power it took multi-minutes to load tracks such as the above mentioned. When I powered this version up the start screen appeared within seconds. press 'Open' folders pop into view, (I save each project in its own folder-with both MIDI & WAV stereo tracks @24/48) click on project name and even a large orchestral 3GB - 16 track stereo recording approx 8 minutes long, and loaded with deluxe processors from Waves, Nomad, & IK, loaded in under 1.5 minutes (Performance meter - below 10% on all 8 threads) previous, I'd go for a drink of water and sometimes it would have loaded when I returned. Track instruments included: Sampletank 3, Miroslav 2, BFD 3, 2 instances of Kontakt 5 (Action Strikes - Taiko Drums & Session Horns - 5 pc Brass) all memory hungry software plus some smaller stuff like, AAS - String Studio VS2.
