SO Client's will send me a Quicktime file to score and I have them put Narration on the left track and music temp tracks on the right track.  I use to click "Import as Mono" and the tracks would come show up on 2 different tracks and I could mute the temp music track while I composed.

It is a super easy fix to bounce to split mono,  but I liked it better when the "Import as Mono" worked

....just sayin'

I just tried this and used the check box for "Import mono".
I imported a stereo file and it imported it as 2 separate files.

Check the files your client gave you against one that you know is valid (that's worked before).

Just verified that it works properly with WAV and FLAC imports. However, when I attempted to import audio from an MP4, I got a stereo file rather than the expected dual-mono. Apparently, the feature isn't broken generally, just with QuickTime files. Not having tried this before today, I can't say if this is a new development or not.

Ya the word "Broken" seems a little harsh to me.

Hey Guys...thanks for checking it out and yes,  I can confirm that it works with some formats and not others.

Simple and easy work around, so not even a "real" issue.

You might be able to change the title to reflect the issue.
Also a problem report might help.
Good luck
