This member is visually impaired and uses 8.5 because the say the new versions don't support the app your talking about, possibly PM them and find out.

The CakeTalking web page is saying that the X series is a no go for their program. Given that they change the user interface every other month, I don't think the situation is going to improve. I don't see how third party support could possibly keep up with a program this complicated that's in a constant state of flux. It's unfortunate.

I have been working with someone and we have come up  wwith  a solution that will let you use Sonar X3 or Sonar Platinum  on a  Windows 10 ccomputer.     The advantages and disadvantages may vary depending on the users, however, this setup allows you to use a Behringer X-Touch compact  control surface and it uses Windows 10's Sapi5 speech engine along with NVDA (Non-Visual Desktop Access) forr some additional plugin controls.  The setup is free to use, as long as you have either a gamepad, or X-Touch compact.     I posted a thread about it here:  http://forum.cakewalk.com/Sonar-PlatinumX3-for-blind-users-now-possible-m3636635.aspx

Videos and everything is inside the thread.  Hope this helps.
