The Quiet Bear
As a longtime user of cakewalk products, (Sonar X2) I feel confused that I don't know the meaning of SPLAT. PLEASE UNCONFUSE ME!

I thought it was the sound made by the install media as it was dropped.

Wait.... there is no "media".

It's the sound your palm makes when it hits your forehead when you realise you missed out on the lifetime updates for Sonar Platinum.

I wish a better slang/acronym was made for Sonar Platinum.  SPlat sounds too derogatory and unprofessional, especially when using it with clients or non-Sonar users.  Maybe something like SoPlat.
"Sonar Platinum" has a "gold standard, professional" sound to it.  To reduce it to "SPlat" takes all the class out of it.
Just IMHO.  (I'm NOT a ho)

Durn. I thought is was a deep existential question. What IS SPLAT? What is happiness? What is 42?

Anyone want to take credit (or blame) for coining that acronym? Anyone have a better suggestion?

On the way to the hospital I was to be named Bradly Ronald Anderson.
My sister, in the car, God bless her, realized my initials were going to be BRA got my name changed before I arrived. Didn't make much difference though. Still got by arse kicked.

Makes ya practice harder.
