I have recently tried to share files to work on jointly, with a friend, who recently purchased Sonar Professional. We get a pop-up box with a list of all the files that are incomplete or missing. I am using the same TH3 amps he has, from the cakewalk version. The only thing that works is the Session Drummer tracks. The other instrument tracks show a thin solid line, (no shape to them) but no sound. This has surely happened to others.

Thanks,
Glen

Are you just sending him the .cwp file or the project's directory with the .cwp and audio sub directory in it? If you zip the project directory and send it that way, your friend should get the audio too.

Is your collaborator perhaps using the non-SONAR version of TH3? From SONAR's perspective, the standard edition and the SONAR-bundled edition are two different plugins even if they look identical to you.

The cwp file itself contains only project and MIDI info. I suspect the audio subfolder was not included as well. If you happened to create this without a name, or have been working on it a while, it is easiest to do a "Save As" and save it to a new folder and be sure to copy audio files over... only audio files actually in use will be copied to that directory, which will make your zip smaller. There are other methods for this once you get going, but check exactly what you sent first. If only the cwp file itself, that would be why.

sounds to me like your missing the audio files.
The reason Session drummer is there is because it is midi (part of Sonars project file.
The next time you get that message it will give you an option to add the missing Audio files.

Point to the directory they are in and go !

Thanks, guys! Apparently CWB files work, as well. My buddy was able to get all the audio from a .cwb that I sent him. There may be things missing from that fill that he could have gotten if I had sent the directory. We'll see how it works. Hopefully, we will have things figured out more completely, as time goes on. I appreciate your help.

CWB bundle files can be problematic. I would just zip the entire project folder in future and send that. That also stores versions and mix recalls too.
