can someone point me in the right direction, please?
i just purchased the Total Workstation 2 instruments bundle.
for some reason, after several attempts to scan them, they are not
showing up in my VST Folders..... when i installed, i left everything the same
except the sound library, which i put on a separate hard drive....
i've never had this problem before.....
if someone can help me i'd truly appreciate it.....

again, IK MULTIMEDIA TECH SUPPORT SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they don't take phone calls and they half answer question
thru email...... if they answer at all.

Oh dear!  I had to give up on their Philharmonic Orchestra due to a reluctant tech support (still 32bit?).  Email was a problem too.  Too bad, I liked that program as much as EWQL's orchestra.

I suspect the IK company's day is coming to its evening shadow.

Have you done the usual:
reboots, system-restores,
IK updates,
SoundLibrary re-install,
64 to 32 bit with Jbridge (if you're 64bit)?

Where's your 32bit VST folder and 64bit VST folder?

(You don't have to answer any of this ... just trying to help a little)

everything is in the default folders except the sound library, which is on a separate drive....
he asked me i new where the .dll were located.... i assumed it would be in the default folder... but still didnt work....
when i use RIFF as my host, all of my IK Multimedia VST's stuff work fine.....
no luck in sonar......
i want to have this problem resolved b4 i install my EWQL Complete Composers Collection.

Each EWQL module is a nightmare too.  You've really got to be careful where you install EW sound libraries and not to mess with many 'default' directories.  It may take you a week or 2 to install the complete collection.  A large SSD drive is your friend (if you can get one)

But many of us can help you there.  Also, EW has had excellent tech support for me.

But how do you really feel, James??

Seriously...I've got (and have had) most all of IK's stuff since it was introduced and have updated regularly and have never experienced any of the difficulty you are experiencing.  Sorry for your troubles...but it is not ubiquitous.

PS: And yes, Phillip, they are not 32 bit as yet (this ticks me off as well) but I'm sure that's on the horizon.

I have every single software product from IKM running on SONAR 8.5.3 x64 on VISTA Ultimate x64 SP2 and have no problems at all.

I've found there support to be among the best around.

The VSTi plugin should be in the VST plugins folder not in the Program folder where the standalone version is installed. There is an option to choose these when installing.

"....IK Multimedia Support SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Yes it does. I am careful not to buy IK products (they are Italian which may explain the half answers).

Although I usually only half answer my own questions so who am I to point fingers? :)

Is there any possibility that they are just in a different (or maybe even hidden) folder?
