I have every single software product from IKM running on SONAR 8.5.3 x64 on VISTA Ultimate x64 SP2 and have no problems at all.

I've found there support to be among the best around.

The VSTi plugin should be in the VST plugins folder not in the Program folder where the standalone version is installed. There is an option to choose these when installing.

Funny thing .... I had good luck with their support people as well.   I wonder why some do and some don't.

And I wish the OP would watch his language.  I'm not a prude, but there are people of all ages on this forum.  I don't see a need for the profanity.

Ik is the least of my worries. All their stuff works under the x86 bridge in both of my hosts and I've had good support (when I've needed it)

I still think that there is something going on that can be fixed. If there was more actual info (specs, etc) and less HUGE lettering and all, I wonder if maybe something could be fixed? I think technically too, this should be under software since apparently it's not a sonar problem?

Billy,

I work in support for another company.. believe me when I say the OP is not far from typical... I have had great support from IK and if I read OPs other post correctly ,It seems like his problem is only in Sonar.

I use Sonik Synth 2 and Philharmonic Classic without any problem on Windows Vista and Windows 7 but as soon as got the buy one get one free bundle I got Riftworks and Sample Tank 2 L. The Sample Tank has a authorization problem on my Vista/Windows 7 machine (originally runs Vista and I upgraded to Windows 7) It generates a single authorization key that locks me out of installing the libraries! IK Multimedia has never been able to help me on this problem. My Windows XP machine runs Sample Tank just fine! I'm going to stay away from Sample Tank on Vista/Windows 7 machines. They are trying sell the "add on" sample libraries to me right now but I just don't pay any attention! No More IK Multimedia stuff unless it's a upgrade of something I have already that works! I'll stick with Native Instruments stuff!

Stevie,

When someone has a problem, I don't discount it.  If possible I try to help.  I just have trouble with people who treat a "public" forum with lack of respect.

As for the problem - there are some plugins that only have problems in Sonar, as there are some that only have problems in other hosts.

As many of us know from experience, many problems have solutions.   But attitude matters too ;)

Anyway, I'm gonna remove myself from this thread as I have nothing to add.

Have you tried installing them under compatibility mode? Also, did you try turning off the uac for the installation? Probably won't help since you mentioned it not authorizing but thought I'd try.

can someone point me in the right direction, please? i just purchased the Total Workstation 2 instruments bundle. for some reason, after several attempts to scan them, they are not showing up in my VST Folders..... when i installed, i left everything the same except the sound library, which i put on a separate hard drive.... i've never had this problem before..... if someone can help me i'd truly appreciate it.....

Sounds to me like you have multiple VST plugin folders...
Make sure Sonar is scanning the folder where the IKMM plugin dlls reside.

FWIW, I have most of the IKMM stuff... and it's running well (Win7x64).

The T-Racks singles most definitely do not suck...
Sure I'd like them available as 64Bit code...
Good sounding native Pultec, Fairchild, etc... (at reasonable prices and with reasonable copy protection) is pretty sweet.

Actually, what really "sucks" is your constant bashing of very good products simply because they're not yet ported to 64-bit...GET OVER IT!

Please stop abusing the "Font Size" feature...It's really annoying...
