"....IK Multimedia Support SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Yes it does. I am careful not to buy IK products (they are Italian which may explain the half answers).

Although I usually only half answer my own questions so who am I to point fingers? :)

Bull on the italian slam-Jeeezzzz

I have every single software product from IKM running on SONAR 8.5.3 x64 on VISTA Ultimate x64 SP2 and have no problems at all.

I've found there support to be among the best around.

The VSTi plugin should be in the VST plugins folder not in the Program folder where the standalone version is installed. There is an option to choose these when installing.

Funny thing .... I had good luck with their support people as well.   I wonder why some do and some don't.

And I wish the OP would watch his language.  I'm not a prude, but there are people of all ages on this forum.  I don't see a need for the profanity.

I too have had good experiences with IK MUltimedia support and their products, I have ST 2.5 and it is rock solid with bitbridge in 64bit Sonar.

Hi MJames4208 Do you have an Open Labs Neko as indicated in your avatar.??????
I have done a lot of research about this instrument and it is truely an amazing piece of kit as they say!

To me the problem sounds like you haven't told the VSTi's where to find the samples...
I had this issue at first as well... you have to click on prefs, or preferences and tell each VSTi the folder location of the samples... it should work fine then

Don't get me wrong, I like Sonar and I've used it longer than any other DAW. It has a lot of good features. I started using Cakewalk when it was Pro Audio 7/8, long enough to notice the problems it has, problems that some other DAWs don't have! I'm sure long time users can agree with me on some of the problems! I've come up with some solutions but like I said before, fix one thing in Sonar and sometimes something else doesn't work quite right! The more you use it, especially the midi, you begin to notice things! I like features but not at the cost of the basic stuff working! And yes, I'm voicing my concerns, my findings about Sonar, free speech, I don't call it bashing, I call it concerns, truth people! Ok? I'm done now!

Am I reading this correctly?  You're responding to a 7 year old thread without saying anything relevant to the OP.  That's a long time to wait just to be a troll, isn't it?  I wonder what version of Sonar that you're on, maybe Pro Audio 9?  ;)

May be he has problems with "IK Sonar inc.": http://listings.findthecompany.com/l/22266902/IK-Sonar-Inc ?
