Hi, i'm having some trouble exporting wave files.

here's a picture of my settings ( just kept the defaults)
http://imgur.com/a/NBOIa

After export is done (no errors given) windows media player says it "encountered a problem while playing the file."

Am I doing something wrong?

WMP will not play 32 bit files

Change your bit depth to 16

yes indeed. Any reason you are exporting 44100 at 32 bit ?
If its for mastering just use 24. If its for listening/CD quality use 16 bit.

Thanks for that info, seems weird that is the default? Unless I changed it by mistake.

It is the default and I agree that it can cause issues. Myself I'd at least set it at 16 which is what I need to change it too 80% of the time. And it seems strange that this is not a setting you can save in preferences like in other audio software.

The screen shot the OP posted is what I always see on my first export. I always have to change it. It will stay while I work on that project but the minute I open a new project it will return to 32. Drives my bonkers when I forget.

32 bit was indeed the default setting when I first installed SPLAT.

Is this reset when monthly updates are done (i.e., goes back to 32)? That one will affect a lot of folks.
