Hi all music lovers!

Yesterday my anti virus program suddenly decided that that the start screen from Sonar Platinum (maybe after an update) was malware and has removed it. i don’t know where it is (if its in quarantine or already completely of my computer) and i don’t know how tto get it back.
Can someone tell me how i can reinstall the start screen program?

Thanks all for your support!

Go to your Cakewalk Account and download it again.

Or look in your Cakewalk download files - it should still be there.

After installing the 2017.06 Early Release I got a firewall warning from Norton Security that SonarStartScreen.exe didn’t have a valid digital signature. The program apparently tried to connect to the Cakewalk server through port 443 which is a secure port. I reported this issue in the thread below and as far as I can see the problem was taken care of in the regular 2017.06 release. At least - I haven’t got any warnings from Norton after the latest update and I can't remember having added any firewall exception.

So do you by any chance have the 2017.06 Early Release installed? If so, I guess your best option would be to run the regular 2017.06 installation. If not, I have no idea.

Goto My Account

There are 5 tabs running left to right - the 5th one is Command Center

Click that then download it

Hi Guys, thanks for the feedback.

Comand Center is not the problem but the Start Screen; when you have Sonar open>file>Start Screen. If i click it now nothing happens and the screen is not visible during start up.
So i scanned my computer for SonarStartScreen.exe and nothing turns up. My version of Sonar Platinum is: 2016.10 (22.10.0.19). Eventhough i dont have rolling updates atm, i stil get some updates now and again, the last one was a couple adays ago, just before bullguard removed the  Start Screen program.

C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Utilities\StartPage\CakewalkStartScreen.exe

It might be helpful to make an exception for the start screen exe.
I know I personally have exceptions for almost any program within sonar.
(including Sonar itself and the plug in manager)
This is not per say to avoid quarantine, its more to keep my antivirus from scanning Sonar parts while im working on projects. I want all my resources on Sonar, you know what I mean.
