I was just curious as to people's opinion on this plugin. It was my one reservation for not upgrading to 8SE.

I already have Amplitube LE and Freeamp plugins, so maybe my bases are already covered, but this looked like a stinkin awesome addition.

Is there any reason to believe that you won't be able to continue to use it in 8SE?

sorry, forgot to mention I currently have SHS6XL, so I don't currently have the VGA+. It's not included in S8 PE as far as I know.

Well, given the latest deal (check the stickies), you may as well upgrade to SHS7XL and then immediately to 8SE - total of $98, which is quite a bit less than the normal upgrade from SHS to Studio! And you'll get the Studio Devil, Garritan Pocket Orchestra, and full Studio Instruments in the bargain, all of which should work in 8SE as far as I know.

I haven't even tried that plug-in yet.

It's great! I'm hooked! But it only seems to works in 32 bit Windows XP. Not working at all in 32 bit Sonar on 64 bit Windows 10... unless you count frozen tracks.

One reason to keep the old XP system around.

Have you tried running it in Compatibility mode ?

I cant understand why it wouldn't work. The plug in is actually still for sale

And its a DLL in reality. 32 bit I can understand though. I wasn't aware they made a 64 bit version.
This was one of the earlier amp sims I used back in the day. I loved it back then but now its dated (for me personally). Have you seen the S Gear sims ?

I love reading some of the sigs in these old threads. Check out this guys specs:
""Dell Optiplex 755, 6550 dual core, 4G ram""
Pong anyone ?

This one is 32 bit and was a colab effort with Cakewalk. It came with Home Studio 7 XL Pack. The one still available from Studio Devil is different and comes in both 32 & 64 bit. I've used it but nowhere near as good.

I tried the compatibility route but dlls don't have that option.

What's weird is his last post was in 2010 but his last login was over 1 yr before that. How does one do that?!

Ahh, sorry to hear it wont work in Win 10 for you.
There are some plug ins that I use now that someday will no longer work in later version of Windows (Sonitus plug in). Not sure what I'll do. We become attached to virtual FX, Just like a tangible item. The Studio VGA had almost a tube sound to it.
