If so how is that working out?

Are you using USB or Firewire card or what kind of connection?

I recently replaced my dead RME FF800 with Apollo FW.  So far, I am happy with the change.

I think the RME drivers can get to lower latencies, but the Unison mode on the Apollo makes up for it on guitar/bass/vocals.

Apollo Firewire user here and it's working great. If you decide on getting one, just remember to lower your buffers in your UAD  control panel when recording for lower latencies ( I set mine at around 128 or 64, depending on my track count) and raise them when your mixing (I raise this to at least 512).

I used to run an Apollo Firewire. I now run Apollo Thunderbolt with an Apollo Silverface and and Apollo 16. I've had a few issues I've worked with support on. Seems most are solved except my interfaces make me update the firmware every boot or two even though they are current. UAD hasn't figured that out yet...

Overall happy though.

Hi James, I'm considering moving to Apollo Thunderbolt for the expansion ability, but in order to do so I'm building a new PC and it just so happens I'm putting a parts list together right now. Can you please let me know what you system specs are and if your motherboard has a built in Thunderbolt or was it a pcie card that you added on?

Happy to help!

I went with equipment that UAD officially supports. So my motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-Z710x-Gaming 7 and I went with the Startech adapter, which takes the TB3 connector from the motherboard to a TB2 connector that UAD uses.

Let me know if you want any other details...
