  • touch improvements on Win10 (over Win8.1)

Hi all. I've had running Sonar Platinum DAW for a few years now, and it works pretty well. It runs Windows 8.1 with a pair of 24" Dell touchscreens for monitors. I like the touch aspect inside Sonar (also for other parts of the OS). As I mentioned it works pretty well, but I was curious if there have been any touch integration improvements that would only be in Windows 10. There are still times where knobs or sliders within the Sonar UI aren't as responsive as they would be, say, on an iPad or Android app. I know there have been some core OS touch improvements since Win8.1, but I wasn't sure if Sonar
 
Basically, I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth the time/effort to rebuild my DAW in Windows 10. If there aren't really that many compelling improvements in touch, I'm probably just going to stay where I am, at least until I start having software support issues with Win8.1

Windows 10 now has Windows Ink. There have been many refinements in 10 for touch. Windows Ink is for pens but also improves touch. Then there is Windows Surface Dial. 
 
I would goto Microsoft and browse what they have been up to.
