No respect needed John T. Those summarizations do not reflect Mullys statements. Those specific problems have not been listed elsewhere. There is a large amount of misconception present when people are trying to figure out if they did something wrong or the software-hardware did something wrong. Add to that the **** posts mixed with feature requests and it's hard to say what is really going on till you try it your self. The list I asked for from Mully, I haven't seen yet.

Well, it's not my argument, I suppose. But me personally, I wouldn't feel especially obliged to write out lists for self-appointed forum police. I think this has all got bad tempered enough already without adding more on top.

I haven't appointed myself any police powers. Let's not insult each other John T. I'm just asking for some clear answers from those who **** but don't explain. This forum is for discussing ideas and problems .

Haha...fun times eh?

Crg this stuff has been going on for at least a year now so if you really really really must have a list then here's a thought. Install X2 and make your own, how's that for an idea?

If you are anywhere near Adelaide you are even welcome to pop in and have a looksee over a cold frothy with olive branches swinging from the ceiling.

Tell you what... I might even think about making a detailed summary especially for you... but I have a request, can you tell me what you are going to do with it? Are you going to try those stated items out for yourself? Produce some code that will correct the issue? Not sure exactly what you are looking for to be honest but by the use of your language (or hints of it anyway) I suspect you have a scowl on? I hope not.

Cake have stated they are aware of the issues and we thought they would be fixed. You want a list. Huh?

Is there some other explanation you are looking for that I'm missing the point on because in all seriousness I don't mind you being so pedantic about whatever it is you want to see in a list as long as you will use your powers for good. Is that fair?

Cheers all.... it's nearly Christmas! Ho ho?

Once again, guys, calm down!

This is not a place for getting personal, impolite or abusive. This forum is intended for helping each other and sharing best practises, workarounds, ideas and these kinda things. I found invaluable help and very precise instructions to solving some difficult issues, which would have taken me ages to figure myself. I truly hope it stays like this.

If you have a problem related to Sonar, 3rd party software, hardware, whatever ... go ahead and post. There are a lot of helpful people around responding, usually incredibly fast ...

If you have found a workaround that keeps us going to next update, please post.

But I don't think we yet need another list of (mostly known) problems, mixed with feature request. These are two different animals ... and Cake has a web form for this kind of feedback.

Even if you didn't bother to RTFM, asking here is OK. If you take all the options you get with Sonar, VS-700 and the plugs that come with it, you're way beyond 2000 pages and no one will remember the details of features he doesn't use every day.

Having said that ... RTFM is what I'm doing (yet again) with the VS-700 and I recommend that to some of guys. There's still sooo much you can do with the VS-700 R/C (not counting the broken channel strip**) and then there are all sorts of customizations ... plus some workarounds if you get creative ...

Thanks, Ryan, for stepping into this arena and showing that Cake still cares.

** I hate to repeat myself, but from what I read in the X2 forum, saw in the X32 demo, tested with the MCU ... there is no properly functioning channel strip section on any surface for X1/X2, so I'm positive that Cake will fix that ...

Hey Bertyl RTFM is a very good tip. I'd been re-reading some of Ryan's info last night even and got some overview that has helped a little at least.

The lack of a properly working surface is quite the concern in reality so surely Cake must have this up the priority list? I'm not sure that cake actually 'cares' as such but that's only my opinion based on nothing. The reality will be in the attention this issue gets and right now it surely must be costing them customers without having proper surface integration? I'm assuming this of course though.

Anyway, I'm keen to say sorry for any contribution I've made to the sharing of venom in any capacity around these parts hence the reference to olive branches and I think we are really all on the same page with where we are... just expressing it from different view points perhaps. The thought of losing a project to PT at the moment really frustrates me as one example but I'll just try and put more hours towards getting the job done. I hope at least some of the frustration can make sense in this context.

Anyways... will see how the next session goes!

Cheers all.

well the sad thing is that it looks cheaper (plastic and faders) than the VS 700 but looks way more 2012 !! less last decade !!

Zo,

We've seen that in another thread just recently in the VS-700 forum ... though no one did think this would be cheap

I'm mad because Sonar is bettter than Cubase !! and Roland knows how to make great hardware ...and nothing have moved since 2009 !! nothing !!! ....software is one thing but no VS 900 , no VS 600 or some ...nothing ..no extension , no 16 fader model ...ect ...if they need a product manager i will give them 6 months of my time !!! for free !! and give them all my contact in the industry ...they just have to really want it !!!

or just give us the code ....and we will do the rest !!
