Thks Ryan for coming here ....let me ask you guyz a simple question as i don't really care about PC in vs 700:

IS IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE PRE X1D INSTALLER OF THE VS 700 ?

This would give an option at least for guys that want few features working instaed  of brand new ones (plenty) messing the thing ....

Thks again to clarify thing anyway ...

Have anybody here encountered any bug issues other than what's listed above?

The history of support for this unit is really, really poor, I have to say. It launched alongside 8.5 and worked, and then the two releases since then have launched with broken v700 functionality. That is, I'm sorry to say, just amateur performance. Clearly, neither x1 or x2 were given any more than lip service (if that) testing with it before release. I'm starting to slide towards feeling ripped off, to be frank.

It pains me to have said that a bit. I've no wish to be rude or unconstructive. But it's hard to ignore the reality of the situation. This system was billed as having very tight integration with Sonar. Which it does for version 8.5. For a program with a tight release cycle, it seems bizarre that support hasn't been treated as an ongoing requirement. Plainly, no customer anywhere spent four grand expecting this.

+1 John..... +1

The party is over as they have zero to investigate, loads to fix. It 'sounds' as though there is hardware Vs code incompatibility which we all know means the fun stops. Why else would you release X1 in this manner particularly with a % professional user base who will now have ****ed work flow post it's release'? I was actually stunned to realize the impact X1 had on my workflow under 700....stunned the more time I wasted.

Time to look at options from here before X3 comes out and we really start throwing toys out of prams...bit over it.

This is why I've skipped X2 and have started the 'option hunt' for now...bummed about it too I have to say. Should have known....

Anyway....

Couldn't have said it any better John.

The really frustrating thing is that it's actually a very good system. In the periods when it's been fully functional with the current version of Sonar, it's been enormously beneficial to me in getting work done.

Yeah John, too bad you're so right.  It's been two years at least since I first triyed to get an insight from those "who knows", and it's a real shame that still today the only one who actually care is Ryan, still trying to figure out what's going on with us while dealing with his daily workload, which is somewhat unrelated to what we want to know.

If there's still such a product manager it is really time for him to show up. The damn list I've made with the help of other users is NOT A FREAKIN' JOKE. It should be investigated by a qualified tech and feedback should be given back to us. Seriously.

The hardware should be put up to date to follow the new "X" philosophy, whatever it mean. Did anybody ever opened the console yet? There's almost nothing in there. I would be curious to know which piece is obsolete. The faders, buttons, encoders, etc should work ok. I'm I wrong?

Exactly, they are simply buttons, encoders and faders. The problem is clearly on the Sonar side, and v700 testing is clearly not a release requirement. I think that's a bit shabby.
