Thanks Ryan for stopping by, this sign of life was all that was needed.

You surely have a ton of (annoying...) things to take care of and it is really appreciated that you dropped a line to explain a little why we are waiting.

Looking farward to know what can be done.

Whoah.... a Kahoona(sp?) speaks! But seriously thanks for popping by Ryan... I wish it could say it meant a lot but it doesn't. Not intending this in any rude fashion whatsoever but we all know where this is going and Zo's take about a one time event between Cake & Roland is the best summary I've seen for a while... especially when you guys are going to need to focus on W8 and the future that it drags you into. Just a commercial reality really.

Anyways folks.... back to the same old same old even if it is good that Ryan popped in. Obviously I still some flicker of hope in my wick because I keep checking in here like some sort of mad woman looking for her purse or something.

Cheers.

So you're thinking that the VS update won't do too much of anything for the VS700, or just won't do too much for what you think is personally broken?

What update are we talking about? Is there an update? Did I miss something? Hope so....

'Personally' think is broken is a good one. What I personally think means zip, what is factual on the other hand, means a lot.

I'll go have a look for this update you talk of....

I found a new bug (X1):

I got a 100+ tracks project. On most of the audio tracks I can't select the EQ or Tube via the VS700c. I have to investigate further why though. Never seen this before.

Probably it's because I 'merged' 2 projects into one (which I have never done before, and it didn't even work that well - VSTs were not inserted, only tracks, although I dragged the project file into the second project. Also my network solution [Vienna Ensemble Pro] seemed to 'see' those lost VSTs, as if they were 'registered', but the were nowhere to be seen in Sonar).

Ok, that's a whole different story. But fact is: I can't select the EQ on certain audio tracks. Which kind of fits the whole ProChannel+VS700c fiasco.

Sorry Grent.... the 700C is not supported under X1... or X2. Only 8.5.3.

Hmmm.... it is supported in X1. There may be some bugs, but it's not true to say it's unsupported.

I thought X1d brought it back to functionality again? I'm about to install X1 Expanded on the new DAW next to 8.5.3 PE.

What we have here is another case of software outrunning hardware. New versions of Sonar, new version of Windows. That's quite a bit of software to hardware rewrite and driver rewrite. Who's first? What's more important? Get it done, I, I, Me, Me, Mine. I'm still waiting to see a list of what doesn't work in X2. Is there one?
