Ok , i updated to X2 a week ago ..mainly beacuse i have read that the latency switching between tracks and buses was kinda enhanced : WRONG ...

BUT i noticed one thing .....so i hope it willl make the Cake dev Team to have a quik look at it ...

When you use the HW Track/buse thing : Latency
When you use the controll surface GUI in Sonar (via the control, surface option in the contro  bar for exemple) and use the software to switch between those : ZERO latency .....

So def look at the HW switches .... it has nothing to do with the PC or some else as mentionned by some ....just how the HW message is send .....so IT is Workable ....

Please Seth or some , keem in to elaborate ...

Also please tell us what's the plan on the VS 700 support under Tascam ...

There will be no VS-700 support under TASCAM because it's Roland hardware. Roland will be the ones we need to find out from on how much they will be supporting it after the deal is done.

well when it comes to sonar compatibility as a control surface , i assume that the software side will be coverded by Cake walk (as it used to be) while the HW by Roland .....

i remember when i first got it , i called the support and it was Cakewalk  not roland based ;)

Cake will still be developing but I don't believe the V-Studio is a high priority for them anymore considering they really haven't done anything with it in a few years. With Skylight, it's really removed a lot of the features they had initially had for the console apart from standard controls that still work with it. At this point, if anything they will be working on something with TASCAM for future releases.
