I am a child of the 60's.......
I struggle with repetitive Expletives / Cusses / (Foul & Disgusting Language really) which does not match the often, mediocre seriousness of the lyric...BUT perhaps thrust upon the listener to catch their attention.......to boost sales so to speak.
 
Somewhat like putting multiple exclamation marks in a FB post after.............."I am so tired this morning" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Many Comedians fell into this trap over the years.
(IE: If I utter a swear word......I will score browny points.........OR at least wake the audience up.)
Jerry Seinfeld ( eg: for One and he is among an army of many other brilliant comedians of his calibre) proved this technique absolute tripe.

That's funny...I've always had a visceral dislike for percussive enunciation, whatever the genre.  I just effin hate it.  There's a pop acoustic guitar artist on the radio I used to hear from time to time, and I always have to switch it because his singing style just emphasizes the syllables to the point it creates this percussive effect and drives me nuts.  I don't know why.  
 
Alpha ego driven rap is the absolute worst.  Ego and art do not work well together, in my mind.  Small minded materialistic tripe.  Got no patience for "all about the bengies" crap.  And the verbal abuse and degradation toward women is just off putting.  I don't think there's any other form of art that treats women as a dismissive commodity quite like it.
