I noticed in the CCC that there is an update to the Loopmasters installation.

However, whenever I run it, I get this error message:

There is a path on my system pointing to the exiting install, located here:

C:\Users\Colin\Documents\Loops\Loopmasters

I've tried doing the update and also tried via the Reinstall button with the same error

Any ideas people?

Thanks.

I have been getting this for the past 6 months...I eventually stopped trying to figure it out after reinstalling etc.

Luckily I don't use loops much at all, but I can see it being troubling for some who does..

Thing is, it's fine on my other system, just not this one

Further information: it's fine on my Win 7 system but not on Win 10
Sonar currently at version 23.6.0 Build 24 [2017.06] X64 on both systems

I'm using Win 7 and it doesn't work... Seems like I once read a post about it happening when adding a new hard drive or changing sample/loop locations... Sorry I'm not much help here... Did you try updating CCC?  Didn't work for me, but maybe for you...

I recall similar thread not necessarily about Loopmasters but the Command Center and installers. A quick search on Google was no help though.

This path "C:\Users\Colin\Documents\Loops\Loopmasters" seems strange to me but others have reported content in their user directory too. I am not sure how it gets there.

On my PC Loopmasters is in "C:\Cakewalk Content\Audio Library\Loops\Loopmasters"

I was under the impression this stuff was installed in the "Cakewalk Content" folder. At least, that is where it has always been on my system. The Cakewalk Content folder is set in ContentDir in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software and ultimately this value is used to set "Audio Library" in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\SONAR\Platinum\ContentLocations

I wonder if the error is thrown after the installer has trouble resolving the registry entries, then tries and fails some hard coded default.

Thanks Steve, I'll take a look at the Registry entries and report back
