Hello everyone, here's a new song I just finished up with a songwriting student of mine.  She wrote the lyrics and most of the chords and melodies, I did production and arrangement.  100% Sonar with primarily Bazille, Iris2, Addictive Keys, and Battery VSTs.  Hope you enjoy...

That's strange, I just clicked the link and it went right to YouTube and played fine. I appreciate you trying!

Cool song , I like her voice.. I`d effect the vox more, they feel really dry and out of place with the warm effected instruments that you have going on.

The singer sounds a bit off key sometimes, and it would be good to try to have all the parts playing as one so to speak...because it sounds a tad like several different components lacking cohesion. The sounds themselves are nice. Just get them all sitting together better.

Thanks for the feedback.  It's funny with the reverb - with headphones it's right on the edge (to my ears) of being too much, but through my KRK monitors it's not quite enough.  So then I consider how many listeners probably use ear buds vs. how many use laptop speakers and try to find a happy medium.  I know I need some work in that area.  Montezuma, what would you suggest for getting the parts to sit together better?  Are there fundamental mixing/volume issues you're hearing, or something that a little compression and/or reverb on the stereo mix would help with?

Yeah maybe just some leveling things you can do to gel the parts more cohesively.

The ambience of the singers vocal sounds different to the backing, other than that sounds OK here.
