  • Cannot download Cakewalk by Bandlab

I log in to bandLab assistant I click on aps I choose to install. I see, if I highlight below the cakewalk image, a message that says downloading 0/1. Nothing ever downloads and it just stops. I have logged out and back in and have updated bandlab assistant. Nothing is downloading nothing is installing. What am I doing wrong?

Try running as admin and disable your AV.

I right clicked on the bandlab assistant application and ran as administrator and I turned off microsoft's windows defender real time protection stuff. It downloaded right away after that.

You don't need to turn off Defender to download Cakewalk. By running Bandlab assistant as an administrator that is all you need to do. It needs to write to the HD. Without having that ability it can't do anything.

I tried the same thing and it still doesn't download on my windows 10 machine.  I hope my win 8 machine doesn't ever fail me cos I'll never run it on this POS
