hi everyone again, thanks for all the great answers to the latency issues. however, since raising the buffers to 512 the problem persists. my interface is Roland quad capture and i only use # 1 and 2 for in and out, i don't use "main" because somehow everything double tracks.
i have also installed ASIO4ALL and never notice any difference in performance so i stick with the default Roland settings.
i'm going to start a new project and if i have any more problems i'm going to want to uninstall the updates and fix's i need to know how i do this.
i've always found leaving the interface defaults alone things work fine. i never record more than 2 tracks at once and other than superior drummer and occasionally one of the stock soft-synths. i have no use for touch screen or melodine.
i wonder if i can get rid of the things i don't use my computer will work better?
i would appreciate any thoughts on this.
