Is there any chance of fully color-coding the tracks and clips in the Tungsten theme for better project organization?  I like Tungsten very much, however, I don't use it because I can't fully color code my tacks to appear in the track and console view the way I can in the Mercury Theme.  I don't like just seeing the color strip only at the bottom of the track and Console View.
 
Is there possibly a solution in the works for having the full coloring of tracks, Aux tracks and buses in Tungsten, soon?

Though, if it was easy, wouldn't it be done by now ? . . . I've seen this requested before, especially around the time when the theme editor first was released.

They've already stated no. The original Mercury theme will be the only one that ever has this feature.

Hmm . . . Resonant, I've never seen that posted anywhere . . . but I guess when you really think about it . . . it's hardly a dark tungsten theme if it has multiple brightly coloured track and console strip displays.

It was quite a while back, but I don't remember which thread. Apparently, it was some clever coding that did it in Mercury, and can't be duplicated and still have the Theme Editor work. 

WRT to the modified subject line, I don't think "we" have anything to do with it and the change is a feature request not a fix. A popular feature request that is still open for votes and comments

Clever coding indeed . . . anyways, I'm sure everyone knows how easy it is to switch between Mercury and Tungsten themes, depending on how you need your different projects to display. It totally makes sense to be a limitation of the Theme Editor and retaining compatibility with that system.

Is Duckbar still an option? The SONAR Mods site has slowed down considerably.
 
There are a few more pressing issues than adding color track strips to themes for me. Still here is hoping all the feature requests get implemented as time provides.

With Alpha channel and Raster Operations, why it is so difficult to implement this color strip feature ?
Maybe the theme editor have to implement an alpha channel tool. Then, a simple raster operation with track color and "alpha channelled" image would do the trick. How is it done with Mercury Theme ? Mercury Theme has probably some alpha channel information...
Okay, on the paper it seems to be easy, it's probably more complicated with existing code...
