I've never gotten good results out of the Cakewalk Chord Analyzer plugin.  I'm not exactly sure what it is doing most of the time.
 
If you want to know what chords are in a MIDI track (or that you are playing), try Insert Piz Here's midiChordAnalyzer

It's an instrument.  Put your MIDI on it's input track (or your keyboard) it shows what the chord is.
 
You can then feed it's MIDI out to a real synth to hear it, just turn echo on it and the real synth.
