It has been a while since I started a new project. I created a new one this week and noticed a problem with Piano Roll (where I program my Addictive Drum patterns). With previous projects I set the beats per measure and was then able to use the writing tool to program accordingly. For example, if I set 1/8 notes, I had 8 markers or spaces within the measure to work with. In  my new project,  I changed between 1/8, 1/16, and 1/4 notes. It did not matter; in either case, I was able to place only 3 markers within the measure. Is this a software issue or am I missing something associated with recent software updates (I am up-to-date)?

My apology's but what are you calling a marker ?
Is that an actual marker or something within the Piano roll ?  (a note)
Terminology is important when trying to problem solve an issue.
 

Try going to the Value control for note duration for PRV and make sure "Last touched" is not checked off.
 

In the PRV, under the View Menu, under Grid Resolution, make sure "Follow snap Settings" is checked

Thank you. My apologies for terminology gap. And I did verify the "follow snap settings" is checked. Within the project I have been working on for a while, I have the Piano Roll set at 1/8 note and each measure conforms to permit me to add 8 individual squares per measure with the "Draw Freehand" tool. In the new project, it doesn't matter what I have done to this point, choosing 1/8 notes for example, I can enter only 3-4 rectangular characters or beats per measure and even with follow snap settings in place, they are difficult to place on the 1,2,3, and 4 beats.I have never had this issue before.

Update: I decided to copy the project within which the Addictive Drums piano roll was working correctly - the 1/8 note is displayed as 8 small notes in a measure. Then delete the other tracks and modify the drum track to fit the new project. Well, guess what. When I erase a note and attempt to add another (for example erase a note that creates a cymbal crash and replace with another note to create a snare drum) the new note displays as a quarter note. I cannot get the 8 notes per measure grid to display. Grrrrrrr!
