I'm trying to alter a audio clip to sound as if it was coming from a phone.  accidentally, the other day, I got to the Sonitus Equilizer window of my MC5.  I noticed that in the preset choice menu there was the word telephone.  I assumed that it could make an audio clip sound as if was coming through a phone.  however,  when I clicked telephone the audio clip sounded as bright as ever.  does anyone has an idea why?  how does the sonitus equalizer works?  I read the manual that pops up when you click help, but it didn't make any difference.

The telephone setting in Sonitus creates an EQ curve much like that created by analog telephone rolling of the lows at 400Hz and the highs at 2KHz. Rolling the highs off starting at 2k should not make the signal brighter. If you need less high end, either click on the nodes that are around 4k and move them to the left or lower the freq values for bands 4 through 6.

Sonitus EQ works just like any other plugin EQ, so I can't understand why it wouldn't alter the sound.
Did you try other settings? Did they have effect on the sound? What is the sound you're workíng on? Could
it be it has a frequency span so narrow that it "fits in the telephone range", so you'd need to narrow the band further?
