Recently, on programs I've created in Z3ta+2, after several play-throughs of a project that I'm working on in Sonar, the main volume will automatically switch to -12 dB, no matter where I've set the master volume. I will save the program, close Z3ta+2 and Sonar, then reopen. When I load the program, the master volume will be where I want it, but then after several play-throughs, it adjusts itself to -12 dB. It's always -12 dB, and it's happening in about 10 different Sonar projects, with 10+ different Z3ta+2 programs. I've checked to make sure there aren't any envelopes in Sonar, or any type of automation that I may have accidentally added. Could I have accidentally changed something in the settings somewhere?

What version of Sonar? There was a bug fixed in X3E.

I have version 2.1. I went to my cakewalk.com account and re-downloaded, but am still having the same issue. While we're on the subject. Z3ta+2 isn't showing in my Cakewalk Command center, which would make it easier to keep up to date. Maybe there is an update that I'm not seeing?

Thanks for confirming Z3TA+2 version, but again please confirm exact version of Sonar you running on.

Z3TA+2 not in CCC yet. We are also way overdue a service pack as there are quite a few bugs to squash.
Thanks.

Oh, I misread Sonar as Z3ta+2. I'm running Sonar Platinum. I recently upgraded, and now that I think about it, the problem started happening when I upgraded.

Sonar Platinum Ipswitch update 1? (Check Cakewalk command center for updates).

You might try this reset in Platinum..

I followed the steps for the VST scan reset from your link, and was still experiencing the issue, so I restarted my computer, and still experienced the issue upon restart. I tried the VST scan reset a second time, but am still experiencing the issue.

Maybe a controller resetting it?

Other than that I've run out of ideas. Haven't tested it my end yet with latest Platinum. Hopefully somebody will come along soon with better advice otherwise support may be your best option...

You might want to look into z3ta+2's internal MIDI Learn configuration.  That will persist across all instances until it's reset.  It sounds like you may have inadvertently 'Learned' a CC control to the master volume.  And perhaps it's also a controller message in your projects, or one that gets reset to neutral with the Transport.

Yep, that was it. Thank you.
