compress the snare less, and boost its volume a little with an eq instead?

Thanks for your feed-back.I had not Mark Knopfler in mind ,but it is cool you hear it this way.
I will give a try to your advice with the snare.
I agree with you concerning the intonations on certains words but I won't go back to the vocal part, it is time now to moove forward with other songs :-)

Actually ,this song is a kind of recreation,
I wrote it for the girlfriend of one of my best friend's son.
She is Romanian ,lives in Austria and they met in Ushuaia .
She sings quite well ,so I told her :"if I write a song for you,would you sing it ?" and she said yes,but as a youth from this century ,she forgot to answer when I sent her the two tracks rush,so I did it by my own ,but who knows ,maybe she will make the job one day...
It would be fun and I will let this cool place members know if it happens..

That was nice...   It has a nice laid back acoustic vibe to it, but with enough energy to push forward and little FX coming in and out for spice.

Maybe this song will moove a little bit forward because the young lady I wrote it for finally took the time to listen to it and asked me for the playback track,so maybe someday I will receive her vocal part and then I will share the result here for shure,because ,for me,here is a cool place to be.

Concerning the drum ,as I like playing with a drummer when I have the occasion ( as far as he doesn't try to convince the audience he is the best drummer in the world:-) ... ) for me virtual drums are a necessary evil,so I don't like them ,maybe that is why, if I could I would put them ten kilometers away in the mix drowned in the verb... Hi hi .
