There was an article by a Seattle weatherman about the abuse he was subjected to from the public  If he missed the prediction he got hate mail  If he predicted right and the weather was bad he got hate mail and even death threats as if the weather was his fault
Cute clip from CNN about a Minneapolis news weatherman who finally had enough abuse and blew up on live TV  You got through the ads first

I seen this on another YouTube feed. Everyone has a bad day. Lesson- Don't have a bad day on TV. I can almost feel his pain. Getting negative comments is part of that job, so I think it was a temporary slip. Unfortunate. He probably isn't around anymore unless SNL wants to pick him up as a regular. I could see him fitting that part well. There is something to be said for being real though as opposed to being unreal to be ok with everyone. JMOP.

We had 2 tornadoes come thru Shreveport last weekend and I could literally see them on the weather radar app. It was amazing cuz the TV went out  and we went into the shower while they went by our house. The one closest first showed up as a hook looking cloud in front of the weather coming in then changed to a black dot. I followed it on the radar till it passed. The next day on the news it showed it was a 2 tornado and tracked just as it was on the app. Both of them

I was starting to think that I cursed myself on this forum with the vegetarian comments and then even worse being an old girl who can only play the flute and disrupting an elite guys club  Greetings anyway from Dallas TX  I am waiting on the beauty of the lightning storms about to hit us  I have always loved lightning storms

So glad you weren't talking about these Weathermen (the Weather Underground; Chicago, late '60s). The Days of Rage were just that. And then I enlisted. Go figure.

Thank you Starise and Bayoubill for the welcome although I may wear thin that welcome after thirty or so more posts arm wrestling with you guys  Two more days are left in Dallas on my eat sprouts and be healthy tour before the jetlag routine invades again  The lightning storms are beautiful however and more are rolling in tonight  My husband is weathering the tour worse than I am even if his only job is to not hassle the flight attendants  He drinks white wine and is usually passed out shortly after sunset  Won't be there to hold my hand and listen to the thunder but there may be a benefit in the temporary solitude
