  • Upgraded to Windows 10 - Sonar Platinum can't find my audio interface (SOLVED)

Edit: Here's the exact message that comes up:

"There are no audio devices for the current driver model on your system. Please go to Edit - Preferences - Audio - Playback and Recording and choose a different driver model"

do have the most recent drivers for my audio interface and they are compatible with Windows 10. My audio plays fine everywhere else (internet, iTunes, etc) but not when using Sonar. No devices appear in the window for input/output drivers.

I upgraded to Windows 10 and I have no audio when using Sonar Platinum. When I first started it, it told me to go to "Edit -> Preferences -> Audio -> Playback and Recording" to set my audio settings, but there's nothing there that lets me choose my external audio interface (PreSonus Audiobox USB).

Any help troubleshooting this would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

You need to get a win 10 driver from presonus. It is not Sonar's fault for not able to find your audio device. The hardware manufacture are responssible for providing an updated driver for the latest os. If presonus don't have a win 10 driver yet, you can still revert back to win 7 or 8. It would only take about 12 minutes. Good luck.

I updated my original post to clarify that I do have the latest driver for my interface. It is compatible with Windows 10. My audio is working fine when using the internet, listening to iTunes, etc. It's just that Sonar can't find my interface for some reason.

No audio interface firmware update available?
Do you have an ASIO driver available in preferences? This is an issue at the operating system level...

I figured it out! I just needed to reinstall the latest driver. I had installed the driver before upgrading to Windows 10, but for some reason it needed to be installed again. I'm up and running now! No problems any more :)

I posted an update just as you commented. I just had to reinstall the newest driver. See post below yours. Thanks!

So, musichoo was right. It wasn't SONAR's fault.

Glad you got it sorted out.

Sonar was not to blame at all :) It rarely is!

I had a problem with my M-Track audio interface...the ASIO driver couldn't hook up to it for some reason...I switched drivers to the MME driver and that worked. I did have to adjust my buffer to 20, but after I did that it worked fine.
