While I realize that Sonar is pretty and powerful it sometimes frustrates me to no end.  Lot's of tutorials but I can never find exactly what I need.   I have been trying to record a simple scratch track for an audio training course and I can get it recorded on Sonar Platinum but when I go to load it into SoundCloud it pitches it up.  I changed my recording rate to 44.1 and 24 Bit.  When I exported I set it at 44.1 and 16 bit.  No matter what I tried it pitched it up.  Trying to simplify I recorded the same thing in Music Creator, exported as a wave and uploaded without any problem at all.  Anyone have any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Recording through a condenser mic with phantom turned on into a Tascam US-1800 into Platinum with settings above.  Soundcloud converts to MP3.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Set up an intermediate stage - Export your project to a wav and make sure it's ok.

THEN upload to Soundcloud.

I never upload to soundcloud directly from Sonar.  I always export to wav and then upload.

Thanks for the replies.  I am not uploading directly through the Sound Cloud connection so probably wasn't clear on that.   I actually tried exporting as a wave and an MP3.  Checked it in the Groove Music player with the same results.  Since I can get it to export correctly in Music Creator it seems it has to be a software setting as this would remove any hardware issues from the equation.

Can you post a screenshot of your export settings?
