  • Sonar platinum and roland quad capture issue

Hello every one ,i just downloaded the demo version of the sonar platinum, i can't get it to work ,I'm currently using a brand new laptop is a Dell 2.7ghz i7 core window 10
I connected my roland quad capture and downloaded the latest driver ,I'm trying to use the soft synth that came with platinum ,but I can't play or record anything I have an external midi keyboard controller and I can't get any sound out of the sonar platinum ,track one i have selected a simple piano sound ,selected midi omni or one no difference ,midi in and out I have selected the quad capture 1 and 2 ,any suggestions ?? Thank you

Hi. Did you turn on input echo?
Do you get sound if you enter notes manually in Piano Roll View (Alt+3)?

Also what driver did you download?  Roland turned its octa and quad capture drivers over to Microsoft so if you got the drivers from Roland they are the old ones and will not work.

The drivers are included in Win 10.  Just hook up your quad capture and the drivers will install.

Setting MIDI out to the controller will produce no sound. Instead, Insert a software synthesizer and set the MIDI out to that synth.

Hello again and happy 4th of july,yes I got it going thank you, i uninstalled the drivers and I let window 10 find the drivers ,and finally selected quad capture 1 and 2 and is working ,thank you again
