We'll be raising this limit in the next feature and bug fix update to Home Studio, which will be coming out in a few weeks.

In the meantime, the style dials are not counted towards the 24 FX. If you lean on them for a lot of the basic effects you should get a bit more milage until the update.

@Seth Kellog: Nice! They just have it on Steam for sale. Do you know if it can be used/installed without steam, if purchased on Steam?

you need to download, install and do the initial authorisation via steam, but after that you only need to use the steam client for updates

It can be used without Steam running, but you'll need Steam to install/register. You can access the .exe regularly like any other app.

I'm pretty positive that we'll be running a special on the direct version of SONAR Home Studio once the new update is ready/out.

Well, i have steam istalled on my pc at home, but i also need the programm for my job on a laptop there. I`m a bit pressed for time, since i need to finish a project in the next 3-4 weeks - i`ve being working on it for too long already. I have Sonar X3 LE and MC7, wich are also limited to 24 FX , and the VSTs "effect chainer" and "MulitFx" , that could solve this problem, do not work properly on both programs. Since i work on an audio drama, i use fx like deesser , noise gate , EQ and compressor on each "actors" track, so the style dials aren`t helpful to me in that case.

You could bounce some basic FX to free up some space if you really need to (Before you get the Sonar Home studio)
We used to do it all the time back in the day/before the luxury's of digital editing. Just make a back up of the original tracks.
