I was recording a fairly large number of vocals one at a time to create the effect of a large group singing in unison.

I noticed one of the voices did not sustain a note as long as the others.  Normally, I would fix this in Melodyne, but was interested to try a quick fix on the audio clip itself.
  • I used the scissors tool so the note in question was a separate clip with space after it.
  • I knew the clip had to be a Groove clip to stretch (or so I thought)
  • I wasn't sure how to do that so I right-clicked the clip and selected "Groove Clip Looping"
  • I was expecting to have to use the Smart Tool to stretch the clip, but instead the length of the note magically snapped to the right duration.
  • That clip is fine, but, in general, what are the steps to stretch audio in a situation like this?
Thanks!

You don't need to make it a Groove clip. Just hold Ctrl + Shift and drag the end of the clip to stretch it.
