I can appreciate the confusion in trying follow all the different posts on similar issues, especially when they get quite long.
But since this is 2017.06 issue Ive posted here, So I reloaded 2017.06 just to confirm my issue is still present. So to clarify in track view in order highlight track contents in an individual track, it is possible by single clicking below track number, only accurately along the bottom border/pixel line of icon box the number is in. However for double clicking to select all tracks is possible anywhere within track number box.
