I posted a thread in the Sonar x2 forum a while back about my brand new pair of Roland Studio-Captures. If you get a chance maybe you can find some helpful info about the setup and installation of these things.
I had a problem for a while with the shutdown. Whenever I turned the computer off, I could turn off the SCs. When I came back to work I would switch on the SCs, then the computer. THEN, when the computer booted it said that one of the SCs had an error and would not work. I turn off the computer and, lo and behold, you could not turn off the SCs! The only way to turn them off was to disconnect the power cable.
As it turns out, the problem was the auto-shutdown on the SCs was set for 4 hours. When I turned off the auto-shutdown, everything works like a top.
I hope this is of some help to some of you out there. I had chased this problem for at least a month!
