The DAW stops recording when the input stops in a MIDI track or when the transport stops for an audio track but you can drag the end of the clip as long as you want.

thats not what i mean, i mean i was singing and i was cut off, i did a few tests to make sure that it was happening again

the audio file literally does this

"so say this is me singing and ill be in mid sent..." dragging it out doesnt fix this, the program seems to discard the rest of the audio that it trims off immediately, and this is annoying me, is there a way to make it not trim ANYTHING and just end the recording where i press stop, not at where it thinks the sound should stop?

Probably a setup problem. Want to provide details about your hardware/software?

when i do this in other programs it doesnt do it, i dont know what you mean, im using a Zoom Q2HD as a usb mic and an idk what brand CTK200 electric keyboard using MME 32 bit audio, i dont know much about details, i just know when i record the audio quality is beautiful, but its like the program is trying to clean up my audio by trimming and permanently deleting any excess when i dont want it to do any of that, i just want it to leave all of it, and let me do the trimming

The software records whatever is input, it does not do anything to the data while it is recording. I am confused about your input devices. You are using a camcorder's microphone connected via USB and the audio output from a Casio CTK-200 connected to the computers built-in audio input? Are you trying to use them at the same time?

casio by usb output to senheiser headphones zoom is not a camcorder its a mic with a camera in it basically, you can switch the cam off however it doesnt do anything to it while its recording when i press stop it cuts off the end of my audio, it just cuts off the end of the track, while im recording i can totally see it, and it just cuts it off and throws it away, its not the hardware its the software, its just cutting off the end of my track AFTER i press stop

I am guessing the casio is sending audio and not MIDI? Is that correct?
Are you trying to record both at the same time?

no im only trying to record the mic, this has absolutely zero to do with midi at all

Are you trying to monitor while that audio is being recorded? If so, how? USB microphones have a very bad history when it comes to DAW use.  The best solution is to avoid them and use the time tested solution of a microphone connected via a dedicated audio interface.
