You may be wondering why we aren't taking you serious. It is because you are trying to use a professional program to do consumer related stuff and there is just way, way, way too much to learn to be ready in time for your wedding. We may be able to help you solve one problem, but then you will run into the next, and then the next, and then the next, and then the next....etc. etc. etc. You need time to learn how to run a professional program like Sonar. What you are asking is equivalent to me sending you an email saying: "I need to cook all of the Thai food tomorrow for my brothers wedding. I have never had Thai food. Where do I start? Help, I don't want to ruin my brother's wedding!"

Since this is such an overwhelming question to answer, we all think this can only be a joke. Just like if you got an email like the one above, you probably wouldn't take it serious. Unfortunately, if this is really your situation, I feel sorry for you that you didn't try to figure this out at least weeks earlier. Unfortunately, you are falling into the same mind set that many people outside of the recording industry have about recording; That you plug in a microphone, hit the big red "record" button and make great sounding music. If only those people understood...

So since your question is so overwhelming and difficult to take serious, most of us can only believe that you are just somebody playing a joke on all of us at the Cakewalk forums and none of us want to be the person who plays the fool.

I am big trouble,
Good boy!

LOL! she should start writing scripts for Adam Sandler or Ben Stiller.. or act in movies by herself... she´s pretty and fun.

I feel like seeing her, running around screaming, "All crash! All CRASH! ON THE LOUSSPEAKER! I SING, NOT THIS I DO!! GOOD BOY!"

Sinrim, maybe you could even do the presentation of Sonar 7 at the NAMM show...? :-))))

Greetings to Thailand, hope the wedding is fun! Good BYE...

I can't believe this thread is still going on. Everything was explained on the first page and with first few posts. That should be the end of it.

This whole thing is much like me downloading a demo of AutoCad to draw stick figures. Then asking the AutoCad forum how to and with a time limit.

Anyone ever heard of OVERKILL? The only thing that could be of any use to the OP is the Play List in Sonar. I don't even know if it works in the demo.

Remember we are talking MP3s here for Pete's sake. All the OP has to do is stick his/her Ipad into the sound system.

Best
John

I can't believe so many people took "phuket_lingling's" (aka Sinrim) thread seriously and believed that he is actually a young, hot, Thai girl having trouble using sonah to get mp3s ready for her sister's wedding. If you check his user account, you'll see that his "real" name is Lee Jenaviighi, which, if real, is probably Italian.

C'mon people - it's troll season! If something looks like a troll, acts like a troll, and smells like a troll, shoot first and ask questions later!

why not.. the demo is after all, free to download... I guess that just a minimum percentage actually buy Sonar after downloading the demo, because they are not sure what to do with it, not to speak about how many people really use forums to get in touch with developers/fellow users.
I don´t know. It might be possible that it was real, the posts sounded quite desperate. After all it seems the troll (or hot Thai girl) is gone.

since this thread is essentially a bit gubbed anyway I'm going to add this fantastically off topic link.

in glasgow there is a really feeble boy band called pacific avenue with the most pushy and deluded manager, he actually put the band on at ASDA in parkhead (to our world chums this is the equvilant of walmart in compton)

watch at your peril its sumprememly embarrassing

I'm not sure what you are trying to say here. I don't know that this forum is setup for those that simply download the demo. I don't know much about the demo. So how can I advise about it other then to say to questions about Sonar in general use the demo to see if it is what you are looking for in a DAW.

The demo has missing features and plugs. What it can do is give a feel of what Sonar can do. But I am not going to trouble shoot it or say how a thing works in it because I can't be sure if that thing is supported in the demo or not. Should I try to keep it on my disk so I can answer questions about it? It has a time limit built in. So for a month I could be up to date on it . After that I would not know.

You see it is not really useful for a poster to ask questions about the demo here and I don't think any of us are qualified to answer either. There are other avenues for a poster to get correct answers about the demo.

So there ya go.

We could each take turns. There's enough of us here that we could cover the year between releases. You start.
