I've had more problems with Platinum than with any other Cakewalk product. At first I thought it was my Dell machine. So I moved up to Power Spec. Double the memory ,SSD and its worse. I've been trying to master a 3 minute song for weeks and its the same problem again. Not midi but wave files. Gonna check out Reaper and may just switch over cause this has got to stop. At this rate I'll never finish anything.

Sorry to hear of your troubles.
If its happening on 2 separate computers you can probably easily track your issues down to the soundcard.
Especially the fact you said "Not midi but wave files".

What are you using for a soundcard ?

Sonny,

You should start a new thread.  This one is old (and resolved), and may or may not even be related to your problem.

I know you're frustrated, but latching onto an old thread just to say, "BTW, I'm having problems too -- and I'm jumping over to Reaper!" is not helpful to say the least. Reaper is like any other DAW in that it will require a commitment of time and patience (a few weeks minimum) to get to a point where you can do your mastering job.

Seems to me that time would be better spent here troubleshooting the problem in Sonar.  Best case, we find a simple fix, and you're up and running in a day or two.

It's up to you.  If you want to start a new thread, please provide some details on your problem, and don't forget to include your system specs (I strongly recommend creating a signature with those details.  For examples, look at some of our sigs).

1. I'm sorry that I didn't know that this was an old thread. So please excuse my ignorance about this.
And thank you anyway.
