First of all, thanks very much.  Secondly, I went to the website and downloaded the latest version and the updates and applied them.  That is very weird.  I will back to Toontrack and see if I can figure it out.

Thanks again for taking the time to do this!

EDIT: On the Toontrack site, Version 2.0.2 is the most recent version I see.

There is also an updates tab on the EZdrummer page. You should see an update there. Have you dragged the EZdrummer DLL manually to different location than where it was installed? If this is the case, it could be possible that the updated program is placing the update where it expects EZdrummer to reside.

I have a suspicion that your problems may be self inflicted.

Self-inflicted?  Care to explain that statement?   I also don't understand the "Doesn't matter" comment.

I always let dlls install wherever the installer puts them and I only move one if the VI can't find it.  I did not move the EZD dll (or the EZMix one, for that matter.)

In any case, after I install EZD2, EZD2 is there and opens, which would not happen if the dll were missing.

I will withdraw my question.

Don't get frustrated.  We want you to have everything working. But often its hard to fully communicate what is being thought. This is the nature of written communications. No one is trying to make it difficult for you. I truly hope it works.

Lets us know if you get it working.

John, Everyone has tried to help.  I'm not frustrated--just trying to understand what the thought is.  Thanks.

Hallo, Mighty Konrad.

Is the menu item in your EZd2 (vst in Sonar, not standalone version) not where I suggested in post #5 and #18?

jb101, I cannot find this option anywhere.  Something is wrong.  I guess I will open a ticket with Toontrack.  They have never responded before, but maybe they will now. :-)

Thanks.

If you are running EZD2 version 2.0.2, you won't have the Sonar options.  If you go to Toontrack.com and click on MY ACCOUNT at the top of the page and then go to My Products and click on the EZDrummer 2 thumbnail, it will take you to this page where you will see an Updates Tab.
Download this file and update EZdrummer 2.  After the update, if you don't see version 2.1.1 at the bottom of the page then EZD2 is not where the update program expects it to be.

If you still have problems, then check the version number of the standalone and the VST version and post what you find.

Thanks, yes.  I installed that update.  Something obviously went wrong somewhere.

I hve done this install and update twice, restoring my PC after it failed.  I will try a third time.

Thanks for the screenshot, though,

OK, I installed the EZD2 upgrade for the third time and this time I have Sonar options and EZD does not seem to be messing up my Ins/Outs.

Each time before  I had installed the EZD 2.0.2 package followed by the update.  I don't know what is different this time, but things seem to be OK.

Thanks.
